Solar photovoltaic cell module (also known as solar panel) is the core part of the solar power generation system, and also an important part of the solar power generation system. Single solar cell can not be used as power supply directly. For power supply, a number of single batteries shall be connected in series, parallel and tightly packed into components. Its function is to convert the solar energy into electric energy, or send it to the battery for storage, or push the load to work. For the positive and negative charges, because the positive and negative charges in the PN junction area are separated, an external current field can be generated, and the current flows from the bottom of the crystal silicon cell to the top of the cell through the load. This is the photovoltaic effect. When a load is connected between the upper and lower surfaces of the solar cell, there will be current flowing through the load, so the solar cell will generate current; the more photons the solar cell absorbs, the greater the current will be. The energy of photons is determined by the wavelength. Photons lower than the basic energy can not produce free electrons. A photon higher than the basic energy will produce only one free electron. The excess energy will make the battery heat up, and the efficiency of solar cells will be reduced with the influence of electric energy loss.
